Model Village
Feuji implemented a 20 non-negotiable points program in the village to offer better infrastructure, education, employment, and empower the villagers. The key focus areas have always been education, employment, and empowerment. Feuji has constantly strived to achieve empowerment through the following indicators.
- Zero school dropouts.
- A wholesome education to boys and girls up to class 10.
- Children free from malnutrition.
- Prevention of maternal deaths.
Efforts towards developing the village have been instrumental in ending open defecation and child marriages for girls below the legal age of 18.
Today, S. Uppalapadu has established governance with a functional Information Center (Computer Lab) and a Mee Seva Center. The village has telecom connectivity and a functional grievance address system to take care of any public queries and emergencies of the villagers. The initiative started with a very positive sign involving the villagers to contribute to the developments in the village. The local government in the village is very well established with the Gram Sabha held 4 times a year successfully.
