Rayalaseema Skill Development Center

The MPR Society build a village-based vocational training center, with a mission to train the village youth and make them employable. Mr. Manohar Reddy made instrumental efforts in building a state-of-the-art facility spanning 20,000 square feet and a 4-acre campus in June 2015.

Today, this facility is a hub offering hands-on training programs in IT, non-IT, and trading sectors. The center introduced courses in spoken English, computer training, and soft skills. The center also conducted technical training in computer languages like Java and Web Development for 90 engineering graduates with the help of professional instructors from Hyderabad and Bangalore. The Skill Development Center also had the privilege of inviting the famous novelist, Shri Yandamuri Veerendranath to train students in inter-and intra-personal skills.

The First American Financial Corporation, a US-based Financial Services company also agreed to train and recruit 200 students from Uppalapadu and the nearby villages in Andhra Pradesh. The company conducted technical training in January 2019.

The Skill Development Center successfully trained 90 engineering graduates and placed 60 of them in IT corporations like HCL, Capgemini, TCS, and Virtusa to name a few. In 2016, an SAP training module was introduced with 50 trainees. The Rayalaseema Skill Development Center, in association with the AP IT Academy (APITA), conducted a job mela in July 2018. A whopping number of 1500 graduates from Uppalapadu and the nearby villages participated in this event, out of which 380 students bagged job offers from several IT companies. The management from these corporates was extremely pleased with students’ commitment to the IT sector.

The Skill Development Center is destined to conduct many more such events, networking summits, job melas, and placement drives in the years to come!
